Battlehammer Posted December 22, 2017 Report Posted December 22, 2017 I’m looking for some tips on running these off the riggers. I was fortunate enough to win a gift card from cold water tackle last month on here and ordered 3 plus a bunch of other tackle. Thanks in advance for any response. Thank you cold water!Great site. They emailed me that a color was no longer being made that I ordered so I could change my color if I wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
RD9 Posted December 23, 2017 Report Posted December 23, 2017 Light leader 10lb test, take the worm off and put on a small treble. Then run it at 2mph 15 ft behind ball!👍 1
mr 580 Posted December 24, 2017 Report Posted December 24, 2017 I tie my own harness with bead chain. I’ll run them off riggers and slide divers. Usually I’ll run burners on one side and clean spoons on the other then adjust to what the fish want. I set them back same as a clean spoon. Some days the burners do well-worth having a few on the boat. To me more speed tolerant than a regular worm harness.

Battlehammer Posted December 25, 2017 Author Report Posted December 25, 2017 Merry Christmas Bud, I asked Gatta if that was you, he said he didn’t know. Be happy to take a trip with you. You know I’m a long time salmon guy and I love my down riggers!! Be real nice not towing down to Erie from Wilson. I’m sure I’ll see you at the shop before spring Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
