Like I said, spring time is best, water is too warm this time of year to support emeralds.

ya  i agree with mikey eyes,  go to foot of ferry ask around for Mar Mar he is a little Korean looking guy. he is down there most days where the wall cuts in. he makes  some great nets, cash only was like $35. I have two and most of my friends have got them from him.

They look like mounds or piles stretched out right on the bottom. I also think the water temp. right now  is still a bit too warm , it has gone up the last few days, & they are still out deep & maybe scattered.

Lineman is right on on the perch .  I looked for 2 hours out of Dunkirk Wednesday with only a handful of links to show for it. Weather changes next week Thursday. A week of cooler water should get them going.

Why is it, in Ohio perch fishing is at its best for over 2 months, the same with Pennsylvania. Warm water temps don't effect them

I read the reports from the west end too. The lake is very different there. Shallow, and a lot more structure. The big thing is bait. There seems to be a lot more of it and right now there are very few walleyes there to compete for it. The shallow north ends of the finger lakes arte similar and I catch perch there all summer.

I saw tons of pinheads out of Dunkirk Wednesday. After boxing out on eyes today, we looked for perch. Found some in 78' got a quick dozen and came back to port. We were straight out of the Cat.

after a limit of walleyes yesterday, out of the Catt, we went on a perch search, and in 4 hours, found 2 different locations that held some fish. We wound up with 50ish fish, but some of the fish from the first location in 65 fow were absolute beasts, 13+". Spitting up gobies.

Fantastic.  I have been looking in 72-74' and found a few . We have not fished for them long though but I will do the walleye first and the perch second tomorrow. Did you have live goldens or salted niagaras?

Worked hard for 40 keepers today, moved around off sturgeon point fish were caught between 63-70 on goldens. Could have caught more but ran out of bait. First 3 fish were 12-13in with in the first 5 mins of fishing thought it was going to be an amazing day still did well though!!!

Went back to the foot of ferry. I ended up with about 50 more minnows. If someone left their dip net I have it if you could describe it
