I'm looking to buy new fish finder and with all that's out there was looking for some input I'm using garmin now and like the operation but have looked at lowrance also.spending most of my time deep water walleye fishing I'm looking at the garmin 73dv echomap chirp chartplotters and also the hook series from lowrance  do the lake maps come in handy.  Thanks for any input

Welcome No Luck ..... You might have better "luck" posting this in the Open Lake discussion or in This Old Boat. There's already a thread in TOB titled "GPS, Fishfinder recommendations", and you'll find my comments there.
