ericmic1 Posted May 8, 2017 Report Posted May 8, 2017 Launched mayville around 1am on opener. Pulled in 1st walleye after about 30seconds. Next came a bit later. Bite became steady till we quit at 4:14am. Bagged 9 for the 3 of us and 1 fat rockbass.-ericmicSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1

Donny918 Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 Anyone have any luck trolling in shallow last night? I saw about 15-20 boats out when I left Hamburg and drove back to SBH. Marked fish like crazy, but I think the muddy water kept their mouths shut. 1
mostlymuskies Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 I found clear water at river end of Donley's Wall yesterday afternoon. Caught only smallmouth bass up to dark. Never really marked many walleye there shallow and caught none.We quit early at 10:30 pm when East winds picked up and mixed mud water in to the area. There were 18 rigs parked when we came in,we talked to guys from 4 different boats all had Zippo Walleye!Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
zadvorney Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 lots of guys out last night in front of the wind mills. Water is pretty stained. No takers. 1
King Slammin Posted May 10, 2017 Report Posted May 10, 2017 I'm heading out tonight. Not expecting much with the muddy water but you can't catch them from home. It's gonna be an all nighter for me, have to be at the dock in Wilson at 5 am for some prefishing for the Wilson Harbor Invitational. I'll report if we do any goodSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1

tdale64 Posted May 11, 2017 Report Posted May 11, 2017 Will the Cold water & mud line on East end shut the fish down? Should we try west of Dunkirk?

Great Escape Posted May 12, 2017 Report Posted May 12, 2017 Just inspected my lures for the season. Half of my renoski stick baits are full of water. Poor construction to say the least. It's a wonder why they catch fish. Sent from my E6782 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
mostlymuskies Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 Keep those Renoski's out of the sun or you will have boomarangs!Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1
Great Escape Posted May 13, 2017 Report Posted May 13, 2017 Never heard that one mm. I just drilled a small hole in one to drain the water, then put compressed air in it. Turns out there was a hole in the lip, and the tail. What a pos! Sent from my E6782 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
