meangreencj7 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 fish hawk Just got my fish hawk in the mail and looking to see what temp you guys look for when fishing for walleyes and salmon?
mr 580 Posted March 7, 2017 Report Posted March 7, 2017 For walleyes I use my probe primarily for speed- temp I stay above the thermocline. If I'm looking for steelhead I might run a spoon in the thermocline. For salmon I put my probe in 42 to 46 degree water. I make most of my adjustments for speed vs depth.
Captain Crabbie Posted March 16, 2017 Report Posted March 16, 2017 50 to 52 is ideal for steelheads on Ontario. 2.7 is perfect speed for both Kings an steelhead. I like 43 degrees for Kings. The under currents are though on speed. I try and run most of the time. You will love the fish hawk. Great tool once you get to know it. Good luck this summerSent from my XT1585 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
