I've run some "lighted" slipbobbers at night with jumbo leeches in the spring with some success. I prefer (and do better) casting or trolling sticks at night. As King mentions sight fishing... I have done this for years on a couple favorite smaller bodies of water. I always called it "jacking eyes". Theres some finesse with selecting the right light. Too bright and their gone in a flash. if you are trying to learn "spots" on a prticular body of water that the eyes prefer, using the light is a big advantage. If I know the areas, I now prefer to just fan cast the area w/o spooking them with the light
