Nalod Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 I started counting down... Now that the football season is over, I woke up wondering how many more days there are until the NY Inland Musky season opens...this is going to be a very long 110 days!!! --Joe
BlueEye Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 There is always Cave Run Lake, Kentucky..... a nice winter escape :-)
Nalod Posted February 6, 2017 Author Report Posted February 6, 2017 Are the water levels high on the lake? I only like fishing it when it is at least 30ft above normal ;) --Joe
Ronix 51 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 You'll burden yourself with another time-consuming project in no time Joe, don't get TOO excited now
Nalod Posted February 10, 2017 Author Report Posted February 10, 2017 Haha. Very true. I just need to get the itch off of my back! --Joe
Nalod Posted February 13, 2017 Author Report Posted February 13, 2017 Seriously...this has been some bad cabin fever!!! I have even thought of attending an AA meeting to see what they would do if I just started talking about muskies. --Joe
Bluefin54 Posted February 14, 2017 Report Posted February 14, 2017 Haha! I feel like I get cabin fever earlier every year!Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
meangreencj7 Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 I can just see my first meeting for fishermens AA.... hi my name is Meangreen, its been two months since I fished, I found my self in the garage in the boat making putt putt noise and trying to figure out what type of tolling spread I need to start with today, ...... then my wife yelled at me and I had to come back to reality... it sucks by the way.
Nalod Posted February 15, 2017 Author Report Posted February 15, 2017 Don't forget to check your down temp and speeds, Meangreen. They can be a killer to your garage trolling pattern!
Bluefin54 Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 Marked some good bait last night in my garage!Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
meangreencj7 Posted February 16, 2017 Report Posted February 16, 2017 did not catch anything but killer dust bunnies, there vicious , almost lost a finger unhooking them, next time I will bring a dust buster. :-D
Nalod Posted February 16, 2017 Author Report Posted February 16, 2017 Under 100! I was going to make countdown rings (like we used to make for holidays), but decided this will suffice: https://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20170527T00&p0=422&msg=2017+NY+Inland+Musky+Season&font=cursive&csz=1 BlueEye: Does the forum have a way to create a counter that we can have built-in instead? These dates are extremely important!
Bluefin54 Posted February 16, 2017 Report Posted February 16, 2017 Seems so far awaySent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
chascurt Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Haven't gone fishing in my garage yet but I have enough leaders rigged to last maybe through 2022.
Ronix 51 Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 9 days for me and i'll be down on the allegheny! Then it's the Muskie Max show so that should help break up the monotony of winter for a bit!

J. Sparrow Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 I grew up in Erie, and as a kid, I remember fishing PI Bay every day one summer (1975)..... bass, bass, and more bass...... Our house was 1 block from the hill to the bayfront...... It was a great place to grow up.... and we even stayed out of trouble.....mostly.
mostlymuskies Posted March 27, 2017 Report Posted March 27, 2017 PI Bay is also good by the tall statue casting for Muskies in 40 to 45 degree water temp.Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
