StarCraft 84 Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 Thank you, Joe Lagreca. Your info put us on a 4 man limit of quality fish from 7:30-noon. 85 feet, 2.1 mph riggers at 65 and 9 & 10 color. Sticks and harnesses did the trick.

I like seeing you guys picking up your speed a little more that's awesome. 👌 1
JustFishin..... Posted September 22 Report Posted September 22 That’s a wrap for 2024! Found a solid bite in 70FOW off of Sunset Bay and took a two man limit from 4-6:30pm. While most reports indicate a stick and/or spoon bite. We took our fish on harnesses with a few on sticks. 8 color, 10 color and downriggers set at 60 and 65 did the work today. One for the memory books for sure. Absolutely beautiful out there this evening. See you in the springSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United 2
SchultzFishingTeamOutdoors Posted September 23 Report Posted September 23 3 man limit with my boys today there 1st trip to Erie. SchultzFishingTeamOutdoors Posted September 25 Report Posted September 25 We had a great day smiles and memories 🇺🇲
Diversion Posted September 26 Report Posted September 26 So will an East wind kill the bite on Erie like it messes up the bite on Ontario? Generally speaking an East wind on Ontario will make the salmon bite shut down not to mention the waves it creates. Is there a similar effect on Erie when there is an East wind? Sat & Sun looking like an East wind.
Stillwater Posted September 27 Report Posted September 27 We fished yesterday afternoon out of the Catt. Straight out and west 78 to 89 fow. From 1:45 to 6 pm. Managed 11 eyes, lost 1 near the boat and 2 perch. Marks were still good but they were not feeding aggressively. Harnesses and sticks. Great day to be out. 1
Steelhead5 Posted September 28 Report Posted September 28 Went today and bottom bounced in 64-67 FOW. Lots of bait out there. Managed 11 eyes. Couldn’t keep the perch from biting. Tried keeping the bottom bouncer 8-12 cranks off the bottom but still caught perch. Lots of fish out there but it got rough quick. 2
Stillwater Posted September 28 Report Posted September 28 Looks like real good bottom bouncing conditions Steelhead5. Nice job! How many ounces were you using? I use 2 or 3 ounces typically.
Steelhead5 Posted September 28 Report Posted September 28 I use 7 and 8 oz bottom bouncers when I’m over 65 FOW
Stillwater Posted September 29 Report Posted September 29 Interesting... drifting or trolling? Thanks.
Steelhead5 Posted September 30 Report Posted September 30 Drifting with the electric motor pushing us 1.2-1.3 mph(sog)
Cheezman Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 Got out of Barcelona on Friday 10/4. Fished 105'-115' straight out of the harbor, fish were down 50'-75' (didn't really mark much until we got out past 95'). Fished from 9:00-11:00 to get our 2 man limits. Mag dipsies on one side of the boat...3 setting was 170 back, 1 setting was 140 back #1 dipsies on the other side of the boat....3 setting was 220 back, 1 setting was 180 back. Ran the new Pirate Reno Rockers Pirate Reno Rocker | FishUSA in the blue/silver on two of the dipsies and I ran Walleye Nation's new LIL SB Reaper Walleye Nation Creations LIL SB Reaper Crankbait | FishUSA in the purple tiger and blue maui colors. No shorts and no junk fish. 2
Stillwater Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 Does anyone know if the walleye are still biting out of Dunkirk or Barcelona? Nice stretch of weather coming. Any reports would be helpful. Thanks.
Sbflomike Posted October 21 Report Posted October 21 I was wondering the same. Maybe people have their boats away for the season?
