going out at 5am (Saturday) tommorow morning... looking for advice and a fishing report, best place to launch. New to the board and only seem to make it to Erie 1 day a year, that day is tomorrow !

Sounds like SP is the place to be as of late. 70-75 feet of water. Mark them first and throw everything at them. Seems they are down deep in those parts. Seen sticks and harnesses doing most of the damage

Warm summer waters cause a migration of perch and walleye to west of SP. Go west of Silver Creek and let the winds blow you back to SP. Depths of at least seventy foot hold the most fish.

We were out of SP saturday. Fished from 12 till 5pm in approx 70fow. Picked up 13. All sticks. Rainbow crystalina RSKI was best. Riggers,Dipseys and 10 color + 1oz. Eyes were right on the bottom.

Don't need to go deep.
Fish are also in shallow, just need to know how to catch them. Limited out by 8 am 1 1/2 hrs fishing. Had one triple and three doubles.

Wojo how shallow is shallow?  Would.lie to try and get out this weekend just trying to pick a starting point. Have not been out since end of June. Thanks

Last weekend the bite was on the bottom. Have to ignore the mass of fish on the graph between 20-40 and get your gear to the bottom.

Took me way too long to figure that out last weekend, but finally I did.

Went out yesterday out of SP, but were so far west you might consider going out of the Catt. Fish on bottom, try pink caught  2 10# plus in 71fow. Good Luck!

Hey Starcraft 75, I think we may have talked at the launch Thurs.afternoon.We were next to you in a black Crestliner 16ft. I though the old boat look pretty good, you said it was fine as long as you had a good bilge pump. You should us 3 nice Eyes 9-10lbs. Your first 3 fish of the day.

Went out of SP today. 5 Hours of getting a suntan with an East wind. Two footers for a while. Skunked.

Did you head NW to 75'?  That's where they were. Hope the east wind didn't change the water temp and push them out of there

Fished 68-72'. Got 2 in the first 45 min. Nothing for the next 4 hours. Never did get into into 75'

Water is 45 degrees at bottom in 77fow right now. 60-70 degrees at 55down.

Headed out at 265 to 70 to 79' of water. No one we ran into did anything. 4 boats when we pulled out , 1 fish.

I know that wind changed the water in Dunkirk I was out Fri evening and water was totally diff sat morning
