Hold_my_stout Posted August 2, 2022 Report Posted August 2, 2022 I haven't heard much about the walleye bite out of Dunkirk so far this summer. I was up a couple of weeks ago and the fishing was slow. Have the walleye bite picked up yet? Any info is appreciated.

Hold_my_stout Posted August 4, 2022 Author Report Posted August 4, 2022 Thanks Stoneam2006. My boat is in a slip at the Dunkirk marina. It's a 2-1/2 hour drive for me. I'm retired so I can pick and choose my trips up there. I just haven't been hearing much about the walleye bite out of Dunkirk. Barcelona and Sturgeon have been good from what I hear. Thanks again!!
Slapshot Posted August 5, 2022 Report Posted August 5, 2022 I am heading out for the first time this year, work and life keep getting in the way. If any one has any info I'd be appreciative. good luck and stay safe
Hold_my_stout Posted August 7, 2022 Author Report Posted August 7, 2022 I finally got out on lake yesterday. It was a beautiful day. We put 7 in the box but should have had a two man limit. Lost several fish. Fished in mostly in front of the marina from 60 fow out to 97 fow. Most fish were caught on gold/ purple worm harnesses. Riggers set at 60' to 75' worked the best. Marked lots of bait. It was a good day for a father/ son get away. 2
