ghauser Posted September 30, 2021 Report Posted September 30, 2021 There were still marks (not as many as a few weeks ago though) 55-65' down over 70-85FOW. Been a lot of fronts coming through lately - weather and lake need to settle down for a few days.

tds840 Posted September 30, 2021 Report Posted September 30, 2021 Fished out of the Catt. today, it was a very choppy morning but we managed. Sporadic marks out in 60 FOW and everything we tried didn’t interest them. The lake finally settled down and we moved out to 80 FOW and it was like night and day, lots of fish sitting between 60’ and the bottom and we were able to get 7 nice walleye on the downriggers down 70’ over 80’ of water using worm harnesses. We stayed between the Catt. and maybe a mile or a mile and a half West. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 6
Stillwater Posted October 1, 2021 Report Posted October 1, 2021 Nice job tds840. Deepest we tried today out of Sturgeon was about 72 feet. Guess they were deeper!
backinthegame Posted October 1, 2021 Report Posted October 1, 2021 2 man limit in 3 hours this morning, 80-85fow, straight out of the Catt. Fish were taken on riggers set at 70&75, wire dipseys 160-170 #3 setting, 10-color leadcore on boards. Spoons, stickbaits, and worm burners all caught fish. 65* surface temp, 68* @70’. 6 1
Dcra Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 Fished off the Catt yesterday for perch. Started with the pack at 52', not much happening there. Moved out to 71' where we found some action. The marine forecast called for waves 1' or less, but that didn't happen. The Minnkota was struggling to hold us on spot lock. Fished there for 3 hours & ended up with 62. The bite was hot for awhile. Salted emeralds did the trick. 1 1
Jimdski Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 One perch rod in your hand out fishes three watched rods. This is due that the watched rods lose too much bait and you waste too much time reeling, rebaiting and resetting the other rods. Keep your pole in your hand and quickly set the hook as the fish has it in his mouth. Your catch numbers pile up faster. 1 1
Jimdski Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Friday one boat off Evangola set there from 7AM to past 4pm without moving. Another boat off Fox Point came in with 73 perch in 73 foot of water, all large perch.
ciscokid Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Will those Lake Erie perch hit anything but minnows & will fatheads work? WILL spikes or mealworms ect. Work? Thx
joe lagreca Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 These are my go to on a drop shot. I've done just as good on these as I have emeralds sometimes it's faster you don't have to re bait all the time. Fathead has never worked anywhere for any speciesSent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1 1
ciscokid Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 I KILLED THE PERCH ON CANANDAIGUA LAKE 3 WEEKS AGO WITH FATHEADS HAVE CAUGHT TONS OF CRAPPIES WITH THEM TOO. THAT EXACT TUBE JIG IS MY FAVORITE 4 BLUEGILLS DRESSED WITH SPIKES . THANKS AGAIN FOR THE TIP MUCH APPRECIATED!! 1
yellowpike1 Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Fished out of the Catt on fri 75 to 85 ft straigth out the fish are still there 4 1
Jimdski Posted October 4, 2021 Report Posted October 4, 2021 The weight of a cool;er full of perch provides more meals than a limit of walleye.
ciscokid Posted October 4, 2021 Report Posted October 4, 2021 YES AND A WHOLE LOT MORE MESSY CLEANING AND FUN. YET HOW MAN FISH CAN A PERSON EAT BEFORE THEY TURN INTO A SEAGULL?
Jimdski Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 When you are gone you are reincarted into a seagull. Respect them.
ciscokid Posted October 5, 2021 Report Posted October 5, 2021 I NO BELIEVE IN REINCARNATION, HINDUS AND BUDDHISTS DO. SEAGULLS MOSTLY EAT DEAD FISH BUT IF YOU SPREAD FRENCH FRIES IN YOUR DRIVEWAY THEY WILL COME!!! RESPECT THEM HAVE KETCHUP AVAILABLE.
backinthegame Posted October 8, 2021 Report Posted October 8, 2021 Last walleye trip of 2021 for us today. Fish were west of where we have been working last several weeks. Managed 8 in the box in 4 hours. We did not catch a fish on a stickbait. We also only caught 1 fish on leadcore. Worm burners off downriggers and spoons off dipseys saved the day for us. Lake Erie has been very good to us this year. Good luck to everyone still trying to get a few more for the freezer. 4
yellowpike1 Posted October 8, 2021 Report Posted October 8, 2021 great day on the water out of the Catt 2
J. Sparrow Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 Back, and Yellowpike .......... what depth of water did you find fish at, and how deep did most of your fish come?
joe lagreca Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 I'll be out Sunday morning guysSent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
backinthegame Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 80-85 FOW again, fish were taken on riggers at 60&70’, wire dipseys back 170 on a 3 setting, 2.0 down speed. We set up on our marks from last week but we found scattered pockets of 55* water at lure depths. After an hour and a half of seeing that and no fish, we went west towards Dunkirk about 2 miles. Water was stable and 67* at 60’. We quit at 1130 but I’m sure we could have picked away and finished filing the cooler. 3

joe lagreca Posted October 9, 2021 Report Posted October 9, 2021 What's up dudes tomorrow's wind forecast does not look good. I think I'm going to pass the upgraded tonight's wind and waves now it's one- 3 foot waves and they're still saying to foot or less tomorrow but there's no way if the wind is going to be the same all through the night and in the morning it's got to still be one two threes in the morning I think we're passingSent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
