GreenHead Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 We boxed out yesterday west of SP. No bilge pump running all the time this trip, it was a nice day on the lake.Sent from my iPad using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1

GreenHead Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 Fire tiger, purple. Putting them at the correct depth where fish are is more important. Sent from my iPad using Lake Erie United Mobile App

Pequod1 Posted July 17, 2016 Report Posted July 17, 2016 You guys certainly know how to catch them. I think we will give it a try Wednesday. I have all the gear but I need some of the luck! We will either head out of Sturgeon or Dunkirk.

Pequod1 Posted July 19, 2016 Report Posted July 19, 2016 Sturgeon tomorrow. Did a little practice run with my new boat today. Got all the kinks out of it and ready to go. 1
jimski2 Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 The best concentration of Walleyes I found yesterday was in 85 foot of water off Center Road between Dunkirk and Silver Creek. Harnesses on riggers and dipseys are working best. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

mike m. Posted July 20, 2016 Report Posted July 20, 2016 Hey Jimski2 thanks for the info on center road area. One of my favorite places to get em going back any years. So did you actually fish there recently and do well? We came out of SP tues and got 10 in afternoon trip. Not as fast and furious as saturdays action was.
Pequod1 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Had a good day today out of Sturgeon. Headed NW to 70-75' and found the fleet. Fish were from 55-70 down and we got a dozen on a variety of baits and techniques. No real pattern. Harnesses and reef runners, dipseys, lead line and riggers all worked.
RD9 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Any size to the fish Pequod? Lots and Lots off Dunkirk but size has been a struggle.
Pequod1 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Actually, if you copied Greenheads cooler picture from a few posts above, its would double as a picture of mine. Fish were the same size. I think the two biggest were around 7 lbs. Not that size matter 1
yellowpike Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Good job. Pequod1 those are great eaters were heading out sat any info would be great. Pm me talked to Jimmy yesterday said his dad was out to but did not get a report. Thanks John
jimski2 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Yesterday was very slow off Center Road. The bright full moon must have had the Walleyes on the feed all night. The fish are there with 79 foot having the best screen. Only one 24 inch fish taken. The other boat had three. Dipseys at 3 setting 150 foot out and 1 setting 75 foot out did the deal with worm harnesses.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
W.W.IV. Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Sounds like you had a bad day over there with the moon and all. I fished SP with Pequod yesterday and did well,I guess the moon didn't shine over SP. or maybe there wasn't enough bait to fill them up. Hey theres allways tomorrow .. 1
Pequod1 Posted July 21, 2016 Report Posted July 21, 2016 Yellow pike. pm sent. Hope you got it this forum is a little different than Lou 1
