Puking Dog Posted May 7, 2020 Report Posted May 7, 2020 Attached are pictures of a new mast mount I just finished but haven't tested yet. Made it from two pieces of 3/4 thick Starboard and some 7/8 vibration mounts I bought from McMaster Carr. Mast was originally mounted to my bow pulpit which is also made of starboard, so it's the bow rail that is untested. Change in height from pulpit to rail raised the mast 20.25 inches, which should help me to get big boards farther from boat without dragging tow line in the lake. Added benefit is I gain back access to my anchor rode roller on the pulpit which used to be blocked by the old mast position.
J. Sparrow Posted May 7, 2020 Report Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) Looks like a nice installation, and it's probably at a better working height with the reels away from the bow rail. Edited May 7, 2020 by J. Sparrow
