JustFishin..... Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 It is my understanding that SP intends to open this year. They have applied for financial assistance through FEMA and need an inspection to receive $. I hope they can dredge and get up and running by May 15th. Stopped down today. There is some storm damage to the break wall and some of the docks, but the sand bar is the biggest issue. Going to be a lot of work to get her open this year. Hope to break out the boat in the next few weeks. Hope all are healthy and well. Tight lines. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
Stillwater Posted April 27, 2020 Report Posted April 27, 2020 Wow those are amazing pictures. That sure is a lot of sand that has accumulated. Is the water level down as well?
JustFishin..... Posted April 27, 2020 Author Report Posted April 27, 2020 Water level looked good. The amount of sand is unrealSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United 1
Stillwater Posted April 27, 2020 Report Posted April 27, 2020 Thanks JustFishin, sure hope this makes the cut with all of the virus related work that FEMA has to work on now. Probably won't happen right away.

JustFishin..... Posted June 5, 2020 Author Report Posted June 5, 2020 Got the email today, the Marina will open next week. Thanks to many folks efforts and sincere generosity the harbor was dredged ! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United 1
Fyshon Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 Awesome, I donated on the go fund me page for the marina... Everybody should visit the page and give what you can...Sent from my SM-N950U using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1
J. Sparrow Posted June 5, 2020 Report Posted June 5, 2020 For $15 / launch, I'll be donating enough! Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are going to be open, but do think they are gouging us.

RWR1775 Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 Wow - $15. I took note when it went from $8 to $10, but understood and was Ok. $15 is steep for sure, but I guess if that is where you want to launch and knowing their issues, then that will be the cost. 1
Fyshon Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 That is steep, but I'm really hoping the higher fee will go to next year's dredging...it is a nice little launch in a great position on the lake. I don't mind the fee, but then again I only launch there 6 or 7 times a year
Thumbburn Posted June 12, 2020 Report Posted June 12, 2020 With that price there shouldn’t need to be a go fund me page.... lots of lost money somewhere..... I will keep driving westSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United 1
Stillwater Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 Anyone launched at Sturgeon? I assume it is operational since it was opening last Wednesday the 10th. Any fishing reports for that area? Heading out tomorrow. Any updates would be appreciated. I will post how I do.
Fyshon Posted June 16, 2020 Report Posted June 16, 2020 I'm heading out tomorrow afternoon myself, we can compare notesSent from my SM-N950U using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1

jimski2 Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 East winds turned the warm water back to Ohio. Biggest fish coming at Barcelona. Lots of boats launched there.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United 1
Stillwater Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 Fished yesterday as well. Got on water at 3 pm. Fished until 8:20 and motored in with beautiful sunset. We caught 8, released one short. 17 to 20 inches. Drifted with harnesses out in front of Evans Bar in 53 to 40 fow. Lost a few that were bigger on the fight. Bonus 5 perch. One was 12 inches. Great start. 2
Stillwater Posted June 17, 2020 Report Posted June 17, 2020 Fyi... Launch was open but bathrooms were locked. No porta Patty's. No night crawlers being sold at launch. Had to go to Webers out on route 5 to get some.Sent from my SM-G975U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
