wojo Posted April 11, 2020 Author Report Posted April 11, 2020 Well if we can not launch anywhere, we can eat lobster. With all the restaurant closures the price of lobster has fallen from $8/$10 a pound to two dollars a pound. Scallops are busting at the seams of cold storage facilities. Thank Albany we were let to get some perch for a while that we clean and eat at home. But Albany screwed us out of them now.The state launches are open. Their just now advertising it. Bill Hilts mentioned it on face book. The Ramps will be free. All marinas will be closed. On the town Ramps, it’s up to the towns whether to open or not. You will need to talk to the town to see if they will open itSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 2

jimski2 Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 The Hanover Town Ramp is open so weekday operation is available.
J. Sparrow Posted April 26, 2020 Report Posted April 26, 2020 anybody know if Millers is selling bait? Are Emeralds available there?
jimski2 Posted April 29, 2020 Report Posted April 29, 2020 The fish in the cooler should be iced down . Snag of ice is cheaper than spoilage of your catch.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
wojo Posted April 29, 2020 Author Report Posted April 29, 2020 The Hanover Town Ramp is open so weekday operation is available.A good day yesterday launched out of Andover. Fished in 62 ft of water. Never moved . Stopped at 75. Between 8:30 to noon. Bite was still on when quitting Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 2
jimski2 Posted April 30, 2020 Report Posted April 30, 2020 With ice the perch can be cleaned safely the next day. Live wells especially during the warm water periods are like cooking your fish in soup. 1

wojo Posted April 30, 2020 Author Report Posted April 30, 2020 With ice the perch can be cleaned safely the next day. Live wells especially during the warm water periods are like cooking your fish in soup. I’ve been fishing for over 70 yr, I know how to handle fish. The fish were taken out of live well and placed in two coolers with ice. The majority of those perch were still alive. I bleed my walleye using my live well until their bled out and placed on ice. Have a great daySent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1
jimski2 Posted May 4, 2020 Report Posted May 4, 2020 Miller’s had goldens today. Lake kicked up to 25 mph and we had a good day just trying the boat out. Only three other boats out with only a couple perch brought in.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
