steve.e Posted April 7, 2020 Report Posted April 7, 2020 New to sight. These perch are on the bottom that deep, 50-60ft? How far off sturgeon point is that? Also, is it good off the small boat harbor?
whitecap1 Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Caught 31 perch in 53 foot of water off the cat
jimski2 Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 Sturgeon Point is about six miles along the shoreline but the fishing is great off the Catt. Do not look for a group of boats, look for a boat or boats catching fish before anchoring up. Your graph will show hooks on the bottom and that is good to start there.
whitecap1 Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 (edited) The perch just kinda suck on your minnow so if you feel any extra weight on the end of your line its probably a perch.50 to 60 feet is about 1 to 2 miles off Sturgeon. Edited April 8, 2020 by whitecap1 More info
whitecap1 Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 50 to 60 feet is about 1 to 2 miles off Sturgeon PT
whitecap1 Posted April 8, 2020 Report Posted April 8, 2020 The cat is short for the catteragus creek in silver creek ny
Riggered Posted April 10, 2020 Report Posted April 10, 2020 What's everyone think of getting out Sunday morning wind wise?
ghauser Posted April 10, 2020 Report Posted April 10, 2020 South wind - lake should be fine. Questions is, can we launch? 1
ghauser Posted April 11, 2020 Report Posted April 11, 2020 thank you - let us know if you check it out tomorrow 1
jimski2 Posted April 11, 2020 Report Posted April 11, 2020 Well if we can not launch anywhere, we can eat lobster. With all the restaurant closures the price of lobster has fallen from $8/$10 a pound to two dollars a pound. Scallops are busting at the seams of cold storage facilities. Thank Albany we were let to get some perch for a while that we clean and eat at home. But Albany screwed us out of them now. 1
