Night fishing

I don't have an electric motor on my boat, just the big one. Can I use planer boards and pull harnesses or is the big motor too much? Got any good thoughts on this ?

Need some more info. Size of boat size of motor? And yes you can as long as you can get your speed down into the 1.5 mark you will be good. But really need boat and motor size to help with how to get boat down to them speeds.

20 ft cuddy with 130 mercruiser. Just bought my big papa bags and tried them out yesterday. Got to 2.3 with the wind by gps and turning into the wind down to .5-1.8 per gps
