Waltzin Sue III Posted May 22, 2019 Report Posted May 22, 2019 I'm planning my first Walleye trip to Lake Erie in a couple of weeks. I've been watching YouTube videos to get some tips. I noticed that several people use Reef Runner stick baits. When I checked them out on sporting goods sites I see they come in different sizes. What size do you run? And some good color choices? Fishnut Posted May 22, 2019 Report Posted May 22, 2019 Where on Erie do you plan to fish? West end, central or east end. It will make a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

Fishnut Posted May 23, 2019 Report Posted May 23, 2019 so you'll be fishing deeper than you would on the west end. you'll need a deeper diving plug. I fish out of the north east, I usually fish worm harnesses early and walleye spoons as the water warms up. last year you could drag just about anything and catch walleye. its suppose to be better this year. good luck. 1
Dcra Posted July 6, 2019 Report Posted July 6, 2019 I fish the eastern end of the lake, anywhere between Dunkirk & Sturgeon Point. I like the Reef Runner Ripstick 700 series. I caught a lot of walleye last year on Eriedescent & Purple Demon colors. I've used them both off down riggers and dipseys.
