garrymny Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 I am wanting information on early Walleye fishing in these areas, which is where I fish. I never have much luck until Late July through September. Then I do pretty good. Can anyone tell me if you CAN have good success in this area earlier in the season, and how? I usually fish Lake Ontario for salmon until July for Walleye on Erie. Thanks. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Tightline356 Posted April 20, 2019 Report Posted April 20, 2019 Beginning of the year fishing by the windmills has seemed most productive for me. I know alot of people troll woodlawn at night in the shallows with good luck as well. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1

Dcra Posted April 26, 2019 Report Posted April 26, 2019 I saw a lot of boats off the Catt today, but pretty much spread out. I haven't seen any posts here about the early perch bite, so maybe it hasn't started or guys are just keeping quiet. Anyone got a report?
Thechad Posted April 26, 2019 Report Posted April 26, 2019 I heard it was ok once u found a pod of fish. But quite a bit of moving required
jeffm Posted April 29, 2019 Report Posted April 29, 2019 Are the people pulling stick baits pulling them behind bottom bouncer weights when in 20-30ft?
Tightline356 Posted May 4, 2019 Report Posted May 4, 2019 How did everyone do today? We only got a couple perch. Was really foggy at times today. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Thechad Posted May 5, 2019 Report Posted May 5, 2019 I didn’t get a bite tried deep and shallow. Marked a bunch but nothing doing for us. Tried sticks and harness also! Go figure no wind no walleye!
Tightline356 Posted May 5, 2019 Report Posted May 5, 2019 We launched out of the catt and went all over looking as well, we got a couple perch but they seemed to shut down as well. We are going to try out of buffalo today, I heard most the ice is cleared out. I will update later. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App

dukhnter8 Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Planer boards help to get lures off to the side and away from some of the noise. I use a gas with electric for steering.Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App 1
Tightline356 Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 FYI be careful on the launches at the SBH, the launch all the way to the right(lake side) has rocks on it. Looks like someone purposely dropped them in. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App

Locoman Posted May 16, 2019 Report Posted May 16, 2019 Jig for perch and you might catch a walleye while you're at it.
