Gobbler Posted March 7, 2019 Report Posted March 7, 2019 I am thinking of fishing Ohio this April. I have heard some great things about the Port Clinton area. Does anyone have any tips for places to fish, stay, launch etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
jimski2 Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 There is river fishing for walleye and lake fishing for walleye as the western basin warms up quickly. Water temperatures are the key to success there.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

jimski2 Posted March 17, 2019 Report Posted March 17, 2019 Google up Ohio Game FishingClick on Lake Erie Fishing, then log yourself in. Lots of information on now with snap jigging for big females and hairJig fishing coming on soon. Walleye season is not closed there, but the limit is smaller. Realize that part of Lake Erie is south of our Pennsylvania border and the creeks, streams and rivers are warmer than here in New York so the bite turns on earlier and the ice is gone while here in New York we have to deal with wind blown ice fields for a month or two yet.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
