Not if you have an electric trolling motor. When the walleye are in the feed it doesn’t mater.

We caught fish with jets n boards, divers,riggers just have to find the magic depth where the fish are aggressive sometimes right on bottom and in our case all fish were top 35 feet of water over 47 52 ft depth

Away on 3 setting but bottom (down fish) or up (suspended fish) the size of dipsey and amt of line  all make a depth difference when using a dipsey. Haven't used one in years and a lot of eyes seem to be suspended this year  so just curious what was working and how?

 Anybody been out of Small Boat Harbor lately for walleyes ? I was out a couple weeks ago and fishing was thin.

Lake has not been fishable for days

This was my first summer fishing in Lake Erie out of the basin . Was wondering how late in the year the walleyes 

hang around the basin  ?
