Totally Hooked Posted August 22, 2018 Report Posted August 22, 2018 Power Pro is a PITA when fleas get bad on Ontario. Wire works well on both lakes IMO. Sent from my B3-A10 using Lake Erie United Mobile App 2
RD9 Posted August 22, 2018 Report Posted August 22, 2018 Our wire rods on Erie our preform our braid divers.
jimski2 Posted August 22, 2018 Report Posted August 22, 2018 My twenty pound braid works deeper also. For kings, thirty pound test is best, saves on lures.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United

wojo Posted August 23, 2018 Report Posted August 23, 2018 x2 My 10 lb braid with 3 way swivel bottom bouncer will out perform your wire line. Can’t see catching a 17 in walleye with wire line or braided with dipsey There’s no fight to begin with, go light and enjoy some fight. Rather catch sheephead which gives you a great fightSent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
RD9 Posted August 23, 2018 Report Posted August 23, 2018 Well to each there own. I’ll take my wire divers down 65 to 70 ft over a 100 ft.

Gobbler Posted August 24, 2018 Report Posted August 24, 2018 How deep are you finding the perch? Any tips to finding them?
Those eyes Posted August 25, 2018 Report Posted August 25, 2018 Fished this afternoon out in front of Hamburg beach, caught three real nice sallies, using deep rapala fire tiger patternin about 22’ water. Had a few more bites but unable to boat them . . .

ciscokid Posted September 1, 2018 Report Posted September 1, 2018 What are Sallies never heard the term b4 except yellow sally, mustang sally???
Those eyes Posted September 1, 2018 Report Posted September 1, 2018 Spellcheck error *Smallies* ergo smallmouth Bass,
jimski2 Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 Sallie’s were yellow, black, and other colored kind tailed flies that were added to spinners with a night crawler worm to catch walleyes. They were very effective along with flat fish lures over seventy years ago. They still work today slow trolling on the bottom.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
