  1. Hay guys I'm looking for a back-up plan in case there is not enough ice to get on Chaumont bay !!! My buddy and I have talked about steelhead in the Niagara river for 15 years or more and since we know absolutely nothing about the river I think it wise to charter a few trips with that being said I would like any and all advise ( good and bad ) on charters places to stay best time year and is it even worth a 6 hr ride ... Thanks Paul
  2. Started tournament at 7:30 in PIB due to some intel that a few trout were caught there and lake was too rough to run deep. Not a bite. At 10:30 we went lakeside in front of Lampe Marina and off south pier one 4 pounder on first pass then nada. I did see one jump several times next to south pier. Break down like this 12 boats fished. Only 8 fish weighed in. Winner caught two off Twenty Mile. Now it's deer time. Tight Lines Levelwind
  3. Sorry for the late post but Sunday was ideal conditions for fishing with less than stellar results. Trolled 7:30 to 10:00 right in front of Walnut. One jack steelhead on second pass hit a orange jointed rapala. And that was all for the morning. Total combat trolling. I saw at least six fish hooked up by other boats in the same area and three or four free jumping. The biggest problem was the 67 degree water temp. I will be fishing in the EPSFA's Fall Trout Challenge on Sunday and will post results shortly after. Tight Lines and Loose Drags Levelwind
  4. Fished 7:30 to 11:00 in 10 to 18 fow. Went 5 for 7 but no steelhead. An odd mix of fish. 2 SMB. 1 LMB. 1 musky and big fish was a 9 lb brown. Levelwind
  5. Put in at the Hanover Launch no docks in yet.Headed strait out the Catt.Drifted out in 50 + - ft. Looking for Perch picked up a couple of nice ones.Screen was pretty blank and the wind started to pick up. We decided to slow troll. Threw out some sticks and a couple of spoons.Picked up one Steelhead 7 or 8 lbs. on a deep diving stick off inline board 45' of water.Grabbed one more 14" Perch on a bottom bouncer down the shout.Things were slow and the wind was stiff, called it a day.
  6. Trolled 9:30 to 11:00. Started in fog at Marina Pond several passes nada. Ran back to Cascade creek trolled to channel entrance for only one fish before calling it quits. Saw over a dozen boats out mostly perchin.
