I would say for that area of the lake 70' is deep,Half of that would be mid depth.Half of that would be shallow. If you do the math right 2/3 of the water has been eliminated for you.Go look and report back.Good luck. Half the fun is finding them.Almost any one can reel them in.
Headed out of port about 1am.Ran a shallow water inline board program with stickbaits.Trolling speed was around 1.3 mph with the Minnkota .Managed 7 nice eater sized pre spawn males dropped a few others.Beautiful night on the water dead calm.
It was a nice day on the water. We took a 2 man limit 10-14". Bait shop was pretty skimpy on the minnows. I used Large jigging raps with Perch eyes most of the day. Seemed to work almost as well as the minnows and seemed to weed out some of the smaller fish.
Put in at the Hanover Launch no docks in yet.Headed strait out the Catt.Drifted out in 50 + - ft. Looking for Perch picked up a couple of nice ones.Screen was pretty blank and the wind started to pick up. We decided to slow troll. Threw out some sticks and a couple of spoons.Picked up one Steelhead 7 or 8 lbs. on a deep diving stick off inline board 45' of water.Grabbed one more 14" Perch on a bottom bouncer down the shout.Things were slow and the wind was stiff, called it a day.
