That is some tough fishing. Thanks for the heads up on the marina entrance. It was getting noticeable a week ago but still deep enough in the center.

There seemed to be far fewer marks than last week when we were there. Quite a few boats were trolling west of us a mile or two. Haven't seen any reports saying they did any better. A few guys coming in from the morning hours when we were heading out said they didn't catch anything and had trouble finding any marks. Maybe they headed west a bit? Fished from 1pm till dark out by the line in front of Sturgeon Point in 62 to 64 fow. Overall it was slow but we did manage 4 between 16 and 21 inches. All on harnesses while drifting with bottom bouncers. Two perch as well. Several people we talked to said it was slow including the DEC guy at the launch taking surveys. My last time out was last Tuesday straight out to the line from SP. Caught 3 and lost a few. The bite was pretty slow and the wind had just shifted to the east from a bigger west blow the 2 days prior. The guy at the launch told me the bite had been good the days before. I thought we would get into them good because of all the marks on the screen but they just were not active and feeding. I would say they are there for sure. Next west wind or maybe now after a few days of settling they will turn on again? I may try again on Tuesday. Hoping for a south west / westerly wind.

Fished straight out from Sturgeon Point today from 2 til 9 pm in 62 to 64 fow near the line. Plenty of good screens and marks. Only caught 3 eyes. All on harnesses. Spoke to a few guys who also had a hard time getting them to bite. Counted 29 boats at one point.

The Buoy is owned and operated by Canada and in Canadian water I think.

Was planning on heading west to fish between 65 to 75 fow. Probably next attempt will be Monday or Tuesday now.

I had planned to go last Tuesday but a change of plans kept me from fishing. Never got out.

This was supposed to be a banner season. Still early but almost mid July.

It will be interesting to see how this week goes. I plan on trying Tuesday I think. Will report back.
