Went today and bottom bounced in 64-67 FOW. Lots of bait out there. Managed 11 eyes. Couldn’t keep the perch from biting. Tried keeping the bottom bouncer 8-12 cranks off the bottom but still caught perch. Lots of fish out there but it got rough quick.
Went outa The Catt today. Pretty bumpy out there but managed 14 today only 1 fish needed to be measured all others were good sized. Worm harnesses did the trick. Every color worked. 85-82 FOW, 60-65 feet down was where we marked most of our fish
This weekend I was going 2.4-2.7 SOG. I don’t have a fish hawk (tuah), but I usually run 2.0-2-2 mph SOG. Caught plenty of fish at 2.5 this past weekend
We have been fishing out in 45-50 FOW, out past Meyers Reef. Bottom bouncing with worm harnesses has gotten most of our fish. Friday we got 11 with 8 of those over 21 inches. An orange, cheap Walmart harnesses did most of the damage.
Went out on 6/4. Got 2 bottom bouncing before dark and 3 after dark in 12-16 FOW. Daytime goby bite was really good. We were not drifting fast enough to keep the garbage off. Also 5 sheepshead.
Went out of the small boat harbor on Sunday and managed 3 bottom bouncing a harness. Tried trolling 4 boards and two dipseys in 38-42 FOW. Not a single bite. Water needs to warm up about 10 degrees I think.
