Misdirection

I ended up making my own planer boards. 30" long by 12" deep bolted together with 2' of 1/2" all thread. They pull really well. I modeled them off of a dock neighbor years ago. They are very heavy. Welcome. The best and easiest way to start walleye fishing Erie is with dipsy's. Get yourself 4 line counter rods/reel combo and make sure their calibrated (there are YouTube videos for this). You'll want to run two trolling bags, one on each side. Tie them to a mid or forward cleat so you have enough rope out that the angle into the water isn't too steep. Otherwise, you'll have problems with the bag collapsing. Then make sure you also run a rope from the back of the bag to a stern cleat so they don't go under the boat and get caught up in anything. If you have power steering with pumps, you might have a difficult time steering with one motor. If that's the case, you might need to let the second motor just idle to help out with steering. Used to fish that way for years. I would run the ball right to the bottom, troll for a while, pop the lure off. I figured it would bounce off the bottom a few times as the line was getting taught. I have a 1986 Tiara Open 3600. A few years ago the marina I get fuel from changed from ethanol free to "street gas". I verified all of my hoses we're ethanol compliant and have been running it ever since. I have twin Crusader 454's with a Onan 6.5kw generator. No issues thus far, I do ensure that that the fuel is treated over the winter. It gets burned fast enough over the summer. But one thing I have been told is not to mix fuels... I would suggest buying carabiner's or shower curtain rings in bulk and using rubber bands. Cheap and easy. If the lake is rough, use two rubber bands to make one longer one to handle the wave surge. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

I've never run power bait on worm harness harnesses. What you can do is take your worms out of their bedding, rinse them off and put them in a gallon freezer bag and take them fishing. Keep them on ice. Keeps the kids and boat alot cleaner. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

I fish out of Ashtabula, OH. From Geneva to the PA state line it's a fire drill out there. This past Saturday we took a five man limit of nice 17"-18" walleye plus a bonus steel head and we're done at 8:45 in the morning. It's been like that since Memorial Day.
