Fished last night from 5:30 to 8:15. 45 to 50 feet of water. marked a lot of fish. Ended up with 6 fish 17 to 19 inches.
Started out with one purple harness and one watermelon harness on 1.5 oz bottom bouncer. Had dipsey out with a purple spoon. Fish an hour with no hits. Added weight to my wife's rig and she hit a fish quick. I added weight and started catching fish.
Watermelon seemed to be the ticket. I switched the dipsey out to a firetiger jointed Rapela and caught 2 on that.
One was only 20 feet down in 48 feet of water. Stopped putting out line when my wife was reeling one in. Fish hit the dipsey before I had her fish in the livewell.
Pretty good night for us.
We went out on Fathers Day and caught 3 in the rain.
Fish we kept were 19 to 20 inches
All caught on worm harness in various colors with bottom bouncers in 25 to 30 feet of water drifting.
We had a few others up to the boat but they got off. Had one of the hooks get cut off when the fish was almost in the net.
I know the feeling
Bought a new Minn Kota trolling motor. 60 in shaft compared to 48 Had to uncover front of boat to see how it fits. So far it looks good
