Man, that sucks jeff.. probably the best producing stand too !? roosted another last night and had to work @ 7:00 this a.m. figured I try a quick hunt. Long story short, shot him in time to be at work just a few minutes early. Sorry for lack of photos but snapped 1 quick one. Good season for my wife and I ! Good luck to everyone Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App

Havent been out since saturday but Roosted this guy last night and figured I'd try before work. His 1st gobble was at 5:00!! He was hammering, made 1 call and fired him up and put the calls away..busy weeks coming up so I'll probably be done after this and my wife tagged out. Nice, jeff. My cameras have all been pretty quiet as of late. But after a week or so off, my daughter and I decided to try it before the cold front rolled through. With only a short time to hunt, I picked her up from school at 3:15, home to change quick and in the woods by 3:45. Within 15 minutes we had a doe train rolling threw. We watched and waited on a good one with some of them within 15 yards. What a great year it has been for me to be able to enjoy quality time with her in the woods and on the water... had some pretty special/proud times this fall! And she reminded me that my shot was a just a little back too, hahaha. Sent from my SM-G935V using Lake Erie United Mobile App

Well, what a tough few days of opening week. Seems like it was all or bust. Doe's are definitely hunkered down. Did finally get some action last night when this guy came by chasing doe's. He was grunting and almost didn't stop after they all ran underneath me. Not a giant but an average gun season deer. Passed up this piebald spike too, hope he makes it to next year.
