  3. Sent to fast. marking with the temp and date, probably helps put a plan together nicely every year.
  4. Aquaman, very smart with marking waypoints.
  5. yellowpike, you got it going on, nice job.
  6. Im afraid to try musky fishing, reading all the musky guy posts makes me wonder if I really need to be bitten by another species.
  7. which fish finder should I get Looking for help. I want to get a new fish finder and there are lots of options , and hoping to get input from everyone here so I make the best decision for me . Im willing to spend around $1500 ish, and like hummingbirds, and recently put on an ulterra with link. Im from South east PA. and do plenty of different types of fishing . I fish year round , and like to fish home waters for perch crappie and walleye and occasionally striper in river and bays, and lakes. I do a bunch on the St Lawrence for eyes, and now Ive been getting into Lake Ontario trolling . I like what Im reading on side and down imaging as well as the mapping feature of some models and of course marking way points and such. I dont have to spend that much money if I dont have to but will spend more if thats what I need to. Please help with any opinions ,I dont get to spend money on every little thing that comes along so I just want to make the right purchase. Thanks, Chuck

  10. Hey Paul , If im correct I read you were changing up from Lake ontario and switching to Lake Erie

fishing? Ive been dying to try erie, I like that lake , walleye , perch , steelhead, whats not to like .

I remember your earlier posts looking for a place to stay up there, and guys were talking about camping and sleeping in the truck, funny, thats what I do . I wish I had the money to get rooms and stuff but hey , whatever it takes, money or no money , I never liked being in a hotel somewhere while my boat was in the parking lot somwhere else.

Hello and yes I am Chuck .. I may never fish for salmon again next weekend will be my 4th trip to erie I looked from buffalo down south of Barcelona and for me     Barcelona Is the best I stay at the theater motel its about 10 minutes from the launch and you can back your boat right up to your room door and the best thing is free ice we grill on the tailgate to cut cost

  11. I fish on the St Lawrence some , I like to jig with plastics mostly, but pulling harnesses with crawlers works ,but also catches a bunch of gobies and perch . Guys I know up there use the artificials ( gulp) on harnesses to cut down on junk fish. Ive caught eyes on the gulps , it does work , and dont need refrigeration.
  12. Wanted to get some opinions on using live night crawlers versus the gulp type crawlers or leaches . Any preferences as to what gulp type works better than others? I use the imitation to cut down on the gobie bite. Thanks, Chuck
