I too use stick baits and harnesses on lead core with my big boards. Never have any trouble. The lead should be more than enough to take your lines out. I keep spoons on the riggers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United

Sorry, didn't realize I wrote west. We actually were east of Barcalona. Started straight out and trolled about half way to Dunkirk. Fish got bigger the closer I got to Dunkirk. 669marc
