  1. I was there from 4 to 6 pm Saturday. Sweltering hot. Never had a bite, used all crawler harnesses this Time. I fished just west and 75 to 80 FOW. Oh, the thermocline was at 60 ft down. 81 degree surface, and at 60 ft it was 65 degrees as I recall. Usually I see same temp top to bottom out there. 2. I went to kinzua once and fished for two days. Caught nothing. I think it's a tough bite there. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  3. We fished off catt today August 15, as well. Same story as others that went too deep. We were 75 to 85 FOW. Only caught one walleye, this 9 pounder. We used dipsey diver, leadcore and downriggers. Guy at cleaning station had nice bag. He said they were 60 to 70 and they used all harnesses and did well. Our screens were loaded with more bait than I've ever seen before. 20 to 40 down. Saw some walleyes but not many. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  4. There's no Argument. I'm just passing on what was taught to us by a charter captain, and my experience on the water, seeing these marks on bottom and suspended, and then fluttering spoons up through the suspended ribbon looking returns, and catching Walleyes. I think the Captain is correct and it has to do with Air Bladders of different species. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  5. Hey Guys, the long ribbons are Walleyes. According to a Walleye Charter Captain that gave a class at the Niagara Expo show, he showed screen shots of his fish finder and pointed out the walleyes, versus sheepshead and bass etc. It has to do with the sir bladders. So yes, those longer ribbons, strings are Walleyes. Bass and sheepshead show as hooks. Believe it or not. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  6. Here's a picture of what Walleyes look like on the Fish Finder.... Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  7. We're the marks Walleyes? I'm told Walleye marks are not hooks, they are longer stringy lines. I will post a picture if I can find one. Also, we've been over solid screens of walleyes, and they woul not bite a drifted crawler, jig or anything. Had to troll to get them to bite! Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  8. How did we go to phenominal fishing 2 and 3 years ago, to mediocre last year, and to the gutters this year???? Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  9. So you are using a leadcore on the rigger, like a secret weapon rod? (SWR). Good idea. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  10. Thanks for the clarification, I appreciate it I'm hoping they get here soon. Last year for me wasn't good compared to the two years before. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  11. Terrific accomplishment! I never have any success like that this early. I am always fishing 5,7,8,10 colors, so maybe I'm always too deep!!! Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  12. My Sentiments exactly. Where are they? Doesn't seem to be any good before late July. Where are the resident Walleyes? Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  13. Good to know, looks like they are migrating East. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  14. Thanks wow, I rarely troll that fast! Good to know Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  15. I don't know why, but I never have any luck until late July! I just go for Salmon on LO until then, but this year that sucks too. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
