Both great ideas Jim. If we only had a politician with a vision to push it through. Could use some of King Andrews Buffalo billions money. Wish we could get the Erie County Federation of Sportsmen involved.
Sturgeon Point is not the only area to get perch. I do good out of Buffalo in the spring. Like anything else perch related, you just gotta find them. Don't worry about the weather forecast......it'll change ten times before Saturday.
With this strong wind the lake level on our end is up quite a bit allowing the ice to push over the boom. So it is possible that it did not break. The areas in your pictures were totally ice free yesterday.
They're certainly not in there big time. You might have been there at the right time. I went there at 2 pm and there were a few. Caught a dozen in a half hour. Lots of ice and garbage floating that you have to work around.
Well said Jim. Remember when the Southtowns Walleye club started? Their mission was to ban gill netting and support Lake Erie access. They were able to get rid of the gill netters but lake access never improved. The "black hole" of Albany sucks all our money to support the "sh?thole" called New York City.
There is a difference between drift bags and trolling bags. Take Sherman's advice and call Amish Outfitters. Captain Frank will set you straight. I have been using his beefy bags for my 21' Trophy for 12 years.
