  2. We fished yesterday afternoon out of the Catt. Straight out and west 78 to 89 fow. From 1:45 to 6 pm. Managed 11 eyes, lost 1 near the boat and 2 perch. Marks were still good but they were not feeding aggressively. Harnesses and sticks. Great day to be out.

  4. So will an East wind kill the bite on Erie like it messes up the bite on Ontario? Generally speaking an East wind on Ontario will make the salmon bite shut down not to mention the waves it creates. Is there a similar effect on Erie when there is an East wind? Sat & Sun looking like an East wind.

  6. Nice catch. You should try bleeding your fish I bleed them out in livewell then move them to cooler with ice. Don’t have any blood when filleting Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
  7. Nice job, great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
  8. 3 man limit with my boys today there 1st trip to Erie. Had some nice conversations at the fillet station with fellow anglers great day! Launched from Catt around 830am motored down and started setting up in 75fow front of dunkirk did two big circles from 80 to 90ish fow and that's all what was needed for us today. Harnesses on both riggers down 60 to 71 Starboard diver spoon out 150 to 165 Port diver harness out 150 5 and 7 color with sticks 2oz and 3oz snap weight rods with sticks Harnesses seemed to work best today. Best speed was 1.9sog and 2.0 2.1 at the ball
  9. That’s a wrap for 2024! Found a solid bite in 70FOW off of Sunset Bay and took a two man limit from 4-6:30pm. While most reports indicate a stick and/or spoon bite. We took our fish on harnesses with a few on sticks. 8 color, 10 color and downriggers set at 60 and 65 did the work today. One for the memory books for sure. Absolutely beautiful out there this evening. See you in the spring Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
  10. I like seeing you guys picking up your speed a little more that's awesome. 👌
  11. Thank you, Joe Lagreca. Your info put us on a 4 man limit of quality fish from 7:30-noon. 85 feet, 2.1 mph riggers at 65 and 9 & 10 color. Sticks and harnesses did the trick.

  17. it looks like a perfect fish catching trip. try to learn the little things on each trip out. I've been fishing Erie's south side in Ohio waters for 40+ years and I'm still learning something new often. it also looks like someone got a few nice bigger fish. congrats on your trip and thank you for sharing your trip with the rest of us with your detailed report.
  18. First time Erie fisherman just like to say hello 👋 and I'm blown away by what a fishery lake Erie has to offer. 2 trips to the Dunkirk and Catt area and I'm hooked for life! I'm a Rochester NY trout and Salmon kinda guy I will be making Many trips to the Erie waters in the near future amazing!🇺🇲 9-14-24 Trip #1 Arrived at Dunkirk Launch 6am (first time ever to Erie) headed out NW fished from 65 to 100 fow riggers 55 to 65 down divers on 2.5 out 125 to 150, 2oz and 3oz snap weight rods and a 5 and 7 color leadcores. Everything worked! Sticks,Spoons, harnesses. 4 man limit back to launch by 1145am. 9-18-24 Trip #2 Arrived at Catt 9am left the Hanover launch 10:00am with my wife and started again NW troll in 60 to 90 fow. Riggers 62 to 73 divers 150 to 165 on 2.5 setting. 7 color core and 3oz snap weight rod. And again everything took fish sticks,Spoons and harnesses. Limted by 1:30pm slow ride back to Catt enjoyed the beautiful weather had a great day.
  19. If you look back at my previous posts it explains it pretty good we really had no other change other than we didn't bother using lead core because our dipsy divers and Down rigors were so active. The biggest advice I tell people that have not been having good luck as it also happened to me back in the day... Is pick your speed up chances and you're going too slowmost guys like to troll 1.5to 1.75 speed over ground .that is way too slow this time of yearin most cases at least that's what we experience on my boat. I'm at 2 and a 1/2 to sometimes 2.75 depending on how deep my lines are. Downloaders were at 73 and Dipti divers on a 3 setting were 220. And dipsy divers on a one setting were 175. 20240915_155850.heic 20240915_160504.heic
  20. Can you share any info as to what is working? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Art
  21. Just seeing your message now man holy smokes it was insane out there today there was plenty of parking from what we hammered them in 88 same spot doing the same thing but the average fish was way way bigger this time 20240919_081545.heic
  22. How's the parking. Won't get there till 9. Hoping there still around 85 ft Sent from my SM-G781V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  23. Fishhawk. Yes, they typically read higher. I was just commenting on how 1 day was 2.0 to 2.2 then 1 day was 2.5 to 2.7.
  24. What type of unit are you using to measure the down speed I use a subtroll
  25. Interesting for us, we fished Thursday n Friday Sept 12 n 13 out of Dunkirk in 70fow towards Catt with 2 riggers at 60 n 66 and 2 dipsys each side 190ft wire #3 setting n mag dipsy #1 setting 110. All stickbaits were run, Rogues, Bombers, n Excalibers. Thursday they wanted it fast, 2.5 to 2.8 at the ball. Friday, it had to be under 2.4mph at the ball with 2.2 best. The week before, 2.0 to 2.2mph at the ball. Not a lot of experience for us there as these were r first 2 trips ever but interesting seeing the wide variety of speeds they wanted...
